Let's take a look to " CHILD LABOR"
Stop child labor right away ,
- Don't be speechless raise voice against the helpless !!
it is horrible , do it away,
if you had a heart ,
you would support my
Statement,
you were a kid once ,
they also deserve a life ,
stop child labor right away !!
According to reports of united nations ,there are 30 million child labors in India in 5-18 yrs age group . 50% of child labor is concentrated in the farm sector. They work in some hazardous area 's also like fire cracker factories , gun powder work and many other areas . A closer look to prevelence to child labor shows that 5 states of India means 50% of incidence .These states are uttar pradesh ,maharashtra , Andhra pradesh and Bihar .One of the reasons is absense or poor quality of schools in rural and tribes .If the schools are there also the teachers are absent or the classes are non -indulging . And in India sadly 30 % of girls are been married without even knowing whom they are marrying , even if they wish to continue there schools they are beaten and abused and are been married .Human trafficing is done to these children . Here , I have a story to present you on child labor based on" Ravi shanker kumar".
He was a boy around 12 -13 yrs old .His cousin was also working in the carpet industry .His cousin was the only person to encourage ravi shanker's father to send him also to a carpet factory .First ,his father asked him to work in the factory but he, refused but after some days the owner paid his parents Rs . 500 .After his parents saw such a large amount they said Ravi to leave the village . And within a few hours he took off from his village .At the first day he was meant to learn work . But by the other days he used to work too much that he also couldn't get a adequate sleep . And according to his experiences he said he was beaten up by his owner if he wouldn't work till nights and wouldn't complete weaving a carpet .When he used to get a wound while weaving in the looms his master would not put any ointment or band-aid , his owner would put kerosene on it and it would hurt terribly . He used to think about running from the industry but he had a fear of being caught . But one day a miracle happend ,Dajna kurooji cunducted a raid where ravi shanker was also rescued and was taken to Bal Vikas Ashram (BVA).And there he got adequate education , food and sleep . And now he found his interest in electricity . And has continued his studies. So, in this story the life of Ravi shankar has been depicted , and many children like Ravi Shankar are been treated like this .In this story we are again getting to know some faces of child labor that it does not only consist of slavery but also physical and mental abuse . There are some famous slogans from poets like :
1.Child labor is a social crime ,
Every child has a rite to shine ....
2.Education is there birth rite ,
against child labor we must fight ....
3.Don't ask children to take tool ,
Instead send them to school...
These slogans are not only to read but also to understand .This article is not only to read or copy but also to understand . We all find fault in everything let's find a solution to it !!
1.We should build NGO ( non- government organisation ) in each area so that we can send each child in a NGO to give him it's rights and a proper education.
2.It should be restricted to give money to children begging on roads .Instead we should give them food or send them to a NGO .
"Some famous NGO's of INDIA :
1. " GOONJ "
2." CHILD LINE INDIA "
3. "KATHA "
" We are very found of " CHILD LINE INDIA 1098 " in front page of the NCERT 's ".
